Europe adventure. Day 2 of 34. Part 2.

Written by the Spanish Arch as the sun is setting on day 3.

For dinner last night we had frozen pizza (which I did not eat), lots of fruit and salty salad made by Terra. She said it was just how salad was made in Spain. I liked it. Adrian put ketchup and hot sauce on his pizza, decorating it like it was an art form. I almost wish I could have tried what that was like, though that is an awful lot of tomato products.

After dinner Adrian went to work and the two other surfers and I headed out to grab a drink and listen to some live music. Terra went off to meet some of her friends and Ariel and I ended up in a absolutely great pub called The Quays. It was packed, the music was great, the building itself was beautiful (so many overlapping floors!) and I got to try my first pint of Guinness! I really love the atmosphere of Galway. It makes me feel really at home.

Ariel and I talked to a young man from Belgium named Florian, which is such an interesting name in my opinion. Then we found a friend of Ariel's that she met in Dublin and a few other travelers. Iris from Germany had some great stories about studying in Romania.

Eventually we left the pub and got some Chinese fried rice on the way back to Adrian's. It was pretty good fried rice, with a subtly different flavor than any I'd had before. I have yet to have a traditional Irish meal. I'm sure that will happen soon!

It's getting chilly out, so I'm going to go back towards the house now. I'll write more soon! So much today to talk about!
